Steven + Ferrin: Houston, TX Engagement Photographer

Ohhh my gosh…where do I begin…!  I met Steven years ago when I was photographing at Grace… He worked there at the time… and I was shooting… our paths crossed and the rest is history!  He just might be the most… who am I kidding… He is THE most creative, talented, genius I know… He can make something… out of nothing… and make it look incredibly easy.   Move over MacGyver! (If you are reading this and you don’t know who MacGyver is… please don’t ask me… lol  You will make me feel incredibly old…)  So back on topic… When Steven introduced me to Ferrin… he brought her to my house…I’m pretty sure I was in my PJ’s… (No… Really.)  Maybe it was work out clothes… Either way, rest assured… I was lookin’ ROUGH!  But she didn’t seem to mind!  She was just the sweetest thing ever!  SO fast forward to last week:  We were shooting engagement pictures with a few different classics… Some Old Chevy’s… etc…  and we get in the car to drive back… and we start talking… Now… If this is not a small world I don’t know what is… We were talking about where we grew up… and (you will not believe this…) I told her I grew up on Colorado street… and she looks at me and says.. “MY mom grew up on Colorado street!” I said… “What was her address? Mine was 1409.”… and SHE says, “1411!”  WHAT?!?   Her MOTHER was my mother’s next door neighbor! (Insert jaw-dropped face here!)  Her family… knows my whole family! CRAZY! I mean… Really?!  I understand this whole 6º of separation thing…but THIS was just…crazy! So I had to share… Ha!
