Elizabeth + Stewart: Curacao Destination Wedding and Engagement Photographer: Dutch Antilles

When you are faced with a life changing decision… like relocating half way across the world… it can be a little scary… You’re faced with a ton of “unknowns” and lets just face it… We like to know the ending to our story… The unknown is… typically uncomfortable. However, when Lizzy moved to West Africa for work… there was only one thing she knew for sure… She would be leaving her friends and family and going to a country where she knew practically no one… What she didn’t know is that the man who caught her eye from across the room at a restaurant would one day be her fiance´!  Stewart, originally from England was also relocated to West Africa…  He may not openly admit it but once he caught a glimpse of her that night… he was smitten…;)and in October… this story will have one big happy ending… and an even happier new beginning!:)Lizzy and Stewart will be getting married in England at the same little church Stewart’s mother and father were married in… and I can not WAIT to share in their beautiful day!

Keeping with the theme of their destination wedding… we shot their engagement session in Curacao-Netherland Antilles.  This is perfectly fitting for them… after every 30 days of working in Africa, they get 30 days off… many of those days spent traveling… We began the shoot at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Curacao and did a little in downtoan Curacao… and wrapped up at Playa Porto Mari!
